Small Groups

At King’s River we Exalt God, Encourage Believers, Empower Disciples and Embrace our Community.  We Exalt God through worship first in our Sunday morning Celebration Service.  We Encourage by connecting believers to one another through small groups.  We believe that church growth is an indication of kingdom growth, which is what we are all about!  However, we also realize that as the church grows it becomes more and more difficult to build relationships.  Small groups within the church are where strangers become friends and friends become family.  Small groups allow us to grow as a church body while still maintaining close relationships.  At King’s River, we have two different types of small groups:

•Rlife, realizing life in fellowship and evangelism, are relational groups that meet twice a month on Sunday nights.  Rlife is our Sunday night gathering.  These groups meet in various homes, outside venues and here at the church.  There are a variety of groups from which to choose.  The following pages give detailed information on all of the groups available and the full schedule for the 2011/2012 Rlife season.

•Growth Nite is another type of small group.  These groups are discipleship classes that target spiritual growth in particular areas.  Classes are offered periodically covering various topics such as: men’s issues, women’s issues, marriage, finance, health, books of the Bible, and more.  These classes are designed to deepen your walk with the Lord in all areas of your life.  Check your bulletin for availability.

Our hope is for you to connect with other believers through small groups.  We believe this is a vital part of every believer’s spiritual walk.

This is what I have asked of God for you: That you will be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love, and that you will have the rich experience of knowing Christ with real certainty and clear understanding… (Colossians 2:2)

Made to Crave Action Plan – Monday Evenings 6:30pm

Attention Ladies… are you struggling with a few extra pounds as we face summer? Do you ever find yourself feeling physically overweight yet spiritually underweight? If so, this class may be just the thing for you. On Monday, April 16th at 6:30pm in room 103 we will begin a 6 week DVD series featuring best selling author Lysa Terkeurst and nutritionist Dr. Ski Chilton.
