What are services like?

At King’s River you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music.  Children are well cared for in our Kids’ Church.  We know that making time to Worship First is vital for healthy growth.  Sunday morning services are at 9 am and 10:45 am. We also have a service on Wednesday evening at 7pm.

What will happen when I visit the first time?

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money.  We know that people want to check out the church and be “anonymous” for a while – and that’s fine with us!  Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

What do I wear to your services?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our services.  Come in what is comfortable for you, because King’s River is not about what you look like or what you wear.

Where are you located?

King’s River has 2 campus locations.  Our St. Albans campus is at 777 Mallory Lane.  Our Kanawha City campus is located at 3705 MacCorkle Avenue, SE.

What about my children?

At King’s River your children are a top priority.  We believe that all age groups need to receive ministry on their age level from birth through high school.  More detailed information on children and youth ministries is available on this website under Get Involved.

How can I meet with others and get connected?

There are many ways to get involved.   Small groups are the best way to connect.  Rlife Small Groups are where strangers become friends and friends become family.  The groups offer a strong network of care, support, encouragement and family life that’s crucial for experiencing God’s love through His church.  Groups are available for all ages and interests – there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you.  Look under the Get Involved tab for a catalogue of our current groups.  Be sure to read our weekly bulletin for what is going on in each group on any given Rlife Sunday (Groups generally meet two Sunday evenings a month.  The full schedule is posted in the catalogue).

8.  How can I be discipled and grow?

We believe individuals are discipled when they Worship First, Connect with Believers, Serve in Ministry and Reach the One.

Worship First is simply worshipping God through song, God’s Word, prayer, and giving.  This happens during our services, and we hope you will continue this daily at home so you can mature in God.

Connect with Believers happens primarily through our small groups.  When life happens to you, whether it is in celebration or grief, you will want your Rlife Small Group friends by your side.

Serve in Ministry is for everyone, not just pastors.  God gives each one of us gifts to help others.  You won’t believe how much you will grow when you use your unique talents as God intended.

Reach the One is when we look around us and find someone who needs to know who Jesus really is.  It is intentionally developing a relationship with a person, so we can point him or her to Christ.
